The anime


The anime is where most of us fans got in touch with Azumanga Daioh in the first place. The 26 episode series, made a great transition from the manga form, and stood on it's own feet much better than many other series. Many of the jokes that were funny in the manga were even better in the anime, but a small part of the jokes also suffered from the change (which is just natural).
Like the original form of Azumanga, also the anime happens in short scenes, that are combined together well, so the episode titles might seem a bit odd, as the episode has multiple sub-titles as well.
